Itinerary
We leave Truman on Friday, March at 5pm and drive all night to arrive in Taos, NM on Saturday.  Plan on going that afternoon to visit Taos Pueblo. After that outing you are free to rest or see Taos on your own terms, have dinner, and enjoy the nightlife a mountain town offers. There will be an opportunity to go skiing while in Taos! On Sunday there are many opportunities for worship in Taos, if you so choose,  and for spa services.   Sunday afternoon will be devoted to museums. We will be paying special attention to artists and writers who had a Taos-Santa Fe connection, of course, and the special mix of indigenous, hispanic, and anglo culture that is northern New Mexico. All students will volunteer to make one short on-site presentation during the trip.
Bandolier National Park

Bandolier National Park

Monday we leave Taos for Los Alamos and Bandolier. By Wednesday we will be heading to Santa Fe for several days of galleries, museums, and, yes, another possible opportunity for skiing! While part of each day will be scheduled for visiting sites relevant to our course material, I take seriously the fact that this is your spring break: part of every day and evening will be yours—explore as you choose! After taking part in a gallery walk Friday evening, we will leave Santa Fe about midnight and drive all night again to arrive back at Truman on Saturday.
